The child of Russian immigrants, Katya has been dancing since she could fill out a leotard. Early training in Los Angeles led her to the School of American Ballet and ultimately to the Boston Ballet.
After her tenure as a ballerina, including representing the United States at the 21st Varna International Ballet Competition, she expanded into all styles of dance.
As a commercial dancer she has worked in numerous films, TV projects, and music videos. Her Musical Theater credits include, Havana Soloist in Guys and Dolls, Dream Laurey in Oklahoma!, Kristine in A Chorus Line, and West Side Story.
She is currently in her 5th season dancing for The Metropolitan Opera. This season you can see her in The Met Opera’s Der Rosenkavalier and Semiramide on PBS Great Performances.
Katya is excited to continue expanding her career as an actor on stage and screen.
She is grateful to all the great instructors, friends, and family who have helped make her dreams a reality.
